Wing Night!

2007, Bronson Chambers Duke, Ben Cronin, and Jordan Snyder started a tradition that would unite fellow Worthington Christian students on a weekly basis. This tradition is known today as wing night.

Bronson had never been to Buffalo Wild Wings. Jordan couldn’t let this happen, and decided that Bronson needed to try it out for himself. So Jordan, Bronson, and Ben went out to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner. They all had fun, and enjoyed the exciting. atmosphere. Bronson was hooked. He admitted that at one point in his life, he was going almost every night, with graduated alumni Tad Inboden who also shares the love for the cheap wings. The boys started a tradition that, little did they know, would last most of their senior year. The group grew through time, mainly consisting of a core group of senior guys. The group usually ranges from two to twelve people, and has been in strong progress for a few months now. “I am real big on wing night. It’s the highlight of my week. When you are having a bad day, it is great to know you got wing night that night with the guys. It’s a pretty big deal and we are serious about our wings. I am so glad this tradition started. It is one of those things I will remember later on in the years. All those great times with the guys: unforgettable.”-Bronson Chamber Duke

On September 13,
Mr. Roads also enjoys the fellowship of the guys. He enjoys hanging out with them because he is close in age tothem, and they easily share many of the same interests. “It’s a great way to have good fun in an entertaining environment with a group of solid guy,” he reports the senior guys have seen all sorts of people join them for wing night: juniors guys, sophomores guys, junior girls, senior guys, a old friend from Colorado, friends of friends: and the list goes on. But the regulars are still committed to the nights. They meet Tuesday and Thursday nights at the Buffalo Wild Wings at Polaris. “It’s a convenient place for most of us; once in a while we even go to Gibby’s, but it is no big, because it is just as close,” says senior Tyler Joseph, who has been in the core group of wing night guys for a while now. The prime reason for the guy’s going on Tuesdays and Thursdays is the ridiculously cheap wings. On Tuesdays, it is forty cents for one wing. On Thursdays, it costs fifty cents for one wing. Bronson tells us that “one of the reasons I got hooked was the price of the wings; it is unbelievable.” The wings are cheap but all the guys agree that the fellowship is reason enough to go. Ben Cronin has a lot to say about wing night, being an original; “well, if you want to have some real fun, come to Wing Night. It is pretty sweet; plenty of cheap wings to go around, and, of course, hanging out with the seniors never lets me down.”
