Meet the Writers: Erin Szabo--Worthington Christian Girl Here to Stay

Erin Szabo, a Worthington Christian student, came here in 6th grade. She was born on November 14th, 1991.

Erin and her parents decided for her to come here when the school had an opening for her. She knew she wanted to be here, but did not know exactly what to expect.

She came from Christ the King [now known as Polaris Christian Academy]; and in many areas, it was not too difficult for her to adjust to our school.

The transition was easier owing to the fact that she goes to church here. ‘’I learned to adjust to it because I wanted to be here,’’ Erin said, adding that she knew Carrrie Chodzin before arriving so at least she knew someone.

Her favorite subject in school is English; and her least favorite is math because she used to be bad at it and she has a constant fear that her math problems will reocccur.

She realized that her coming to this new school was going to be different because of its size. "It was very intimidating coming here because of how big it appeared," Erin says: "but now our school seems small."

Erin at her old school was a cheerleader but now she does the costumes for the play at our school.

Erin is a junior at Worthington Christian now and is excited about where her life is heading, enthusiastic about what the future has in store for her. "I really do not know what I want to do," Erin states: and then adds pragmatically--"but I have a little while to decide.’’
